Alsea Bay Bridge, Waldport Oregon

Alsea Bay Bridge

This bridge was completed in 1991 and replaced the historic McCullogh-designed span which was built in 1936. The harsh coast environment has not been kind to the original bridges along highway 101.

           

Astoria-Megler Bridge

Astoria-Megler Bridge

This is the longest overall bridge in Oregon. It connects Astoria, on the Oregon side of the Columbia River with Megler, on the Washington side. It was completed in 1966 and it remains the longest continuous truss bridge in the U.S.
